Storms hit 13 provinces last week, one killed | Bangkok Post: news

Thirteen provinces were hit by summer storms between March 31 - April 7, in which 296 houses were damaged and one people killed, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department chief Chalerm Promlert said on Sunday. Mr Chalerm said one people was killed, but gave no details. Citing the Meteorological Department's forecast, Mr Chatchai said on April 9 the weather in upper Thailand will be hot to very hot during the day time. The southeasterly winds have prevailed over the lower Northeast and the East, so outbreaks of thundershowers are likely in some areas. The existing low pressure over the Andaman Sea and the weak easterly winds across the Gulf and the South will result in isolated thundershowers.
